I'm not quite sure where to begin. It's 4:00am a Wednesday morning here in Melbourne, Australia and I can't sleep. It's been 5 days now since fires tore through Victorian communities, other parts of Victoria and towns close to Melbourne. It's just now this is really starting to hit home with me. No matter where you turn here in Australia there's constant reminders of the still occurring tragedy and it's hard not to cry when were constantly made to think of it. I don't want to list numbers of the lives lost, along with houses, land and animals. You can find this information here [link] But I want Deviants and the Deviant community to be made aware of the events that have unfolded over these few days and to let them know that they can help. It doesn't have to be money, it can be through food or clothing donations or even passing on the news and spreading the word to others. I will provide some links for you on what you can do.

For those in Melbourne. I've noticed that some Safeways/Woolworths have collection tins set up at registers. I've already given my poo change to them and change from my purchases. I'm sure other big name retailers have set these up. I also believe that this Fridays AFL match will be a fund raising event. All gate proceeds will go to the Bushfire relief fund. I will try to get my butt down there despite going for neither team.

I'm off to try and sleep now. I've just learned that a fire not 15 minutes away from where I live has been safely contained. Goodnight.
